Cherry Turnovers

Have a cherry good day with this delicious and easy turnover recipe. Grab some puff pastry and cherry pie filling and you’ll be on your turnover way!

Ingredients:

1 box puff pastry

1 cup cherry pie filling

1 large egg

1 tbsp water

Instructions:

Set oven to 375 degrees.

Slice puff pastry into 8 squares. Add cherry pie filling to the center of each square.

Dip a brush or finger in the water and place around the edges. Then fold in the puff pastry from one corner to the other to create a triangle. Be sure to close the filling inside.

Use a fork to press and seal the edges together, or pinch with your fingers.

Place prepped turnovers onto a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Whisk one egg in a small bowl with water. Then brush on top of each pastry. Sprinkle with sugar (optional).

Bake for about 20-25 minutes until your turnovers are golden brown.

Ingredients:

4 cups pitted fresh sweet cherries

1cup vanilla yogurt plus additional for garnish

½ cup white grape juice

1 tablespoon honey

1 pinch cinnamon

Toasted slivered almonds (optional)

Instructions:

In blender or bowl of food processor with knife blade attached, purée cherries 5 to 10 seconds or until cherries are coarsely chopped. Scrape down bowl, and add yogurt, juice, honey and cinnamon. Purée 5 to 10 seconds or just until combined (mixture will be slightly chunky).

Transfer mixture to large pitcher. Cover and chill at least 1 hour before serving.

To serve, pour into glasses or bowls. Garnish each with yogurt and almond slivers, if desired.

Approximate nutritional values per serving: 173 Calories, 3g Fat (1g Saturated), 8mg Cholesterol, 31mg Sodium, 35g Carbohydrates, 3g Fiber, 4g Protein

Nothing beats the nostalgia of sipping on a refreshing shirley temple. The lemon-lime and cherry flavoring are ‘shirley’ the best way to bring you right back to your childhood.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

1 1/2 tbsp grenadine syrup

Cherries

Instructions:

Fill up a tall glass with ice. Then combine the lemon-lime soda with the grenadine syrup. Stir well, and add the cherries on top. Enjoy!

  2. Use a chop stick: Using the thin end of a chopstick is the easiest way to push a pit through a cherry with ease.
  3. Use a straw: Use a standard straw to push a cherry pit through the cherry.

Cherry Pie

Easy Food Club® Cherry Cream Pie

Cherry cream pie

Cherry yourself up with this no-bake cherry cream pie. This pie is very simple, but packs a punch with the best backyard BBQ flavors around.

Ingredients:

1 Food Club® graham cracker pie crust

1 can Food Club® sweetened condensed milk

1/3 cup lemon juice

1 cup Food Club® whipped topping

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1/2 tsp. almond extract

Large can of cherry pie filling

Instructions:

Mix sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice and whipped topping in a large bowl until smooth. Add vanilla and almond extract. Pour mixture into pie crust and smooth. Top with cherry pie filling. Chill for 2-4 hours and serve cold. Enjoy!
