Produce Recall Description: Dole Sesame Asian Chopped Salad 13.6oz

We have recently determined that the Dole Sesame Asian Chopped Salad product referenced below fails to meet our product quality standards in that it may contain a master pack designed for another Dole product and, thereby, may contain undeclared allergens (egg). Consequently, we are recalling the product from the market. The affected product has a Best if Used By Date of 01-15-21 with the Lot Code B3640416 or B364017. No other lots or product are affected.

No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported in association with the recall. This precautionary recall notification is being issued due potential undeclared allergens (egg) in designated lots of Dole™ Sesame Asian Chopped Salad.

Excedrin Recall

SAFETY NOTICE Post Until April 23, 2021

GSK Consumer Healthcare Requests that Consumers Check Bottles for Holes in Five Excedrin Brands (Potential Failure to Meet Child Resistant Packaging Requirement)

HAZARD: If the bottle has a hole in the bottom that is large enough, children could access and swallow the contents, posing a potential safety risk.

PRODUCT: Certain lots of Excedrin Migraine Caplets, Excedrin Migraine Geltabs, Excedrin Extra Strength Caplets, Excedrin PM Headache Caplets, and Excedrin Tension Headache Caplets in large-sized bottles (50 count & above).

Please visit www.excedrin.com for a list of impacted lot #’s and additional information. Products currently available in stores are not impacted by this notice.

REMEDY: Consumers should examine their plastic bottles for holes, especially near the bottom. If such a condition is found, please contact GSK Consumer Healthcare:

Celebrate Halloween Safely

Safety is top priority for this year.  Follow these guidelines from halloween2020.org to ensure a safe experience for everyone. 

1. Take the Safe House pledge and register as an official Halloween Safe House​. Get the pledge here >>

2. Don’t hand out candy if you are sick​.

3. Wear a face mask covering both your mouth and nose​.

4. Use duct tape to mark 6-foot lines in front of homes and leading to driveway / front door-step​.

5. Participate in one-way trick or treating​:

  • Position a distribution table between yourself and trick or treaters​
  • Distribute candy on a disinfected surface to eliminate direct contact​
  • If you are preparing goodie bags, wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after preparing bags​
  • Individually wrapped candy or goodie bags should be lined up for families to grab and go while social distancing​

6. Wash hands often​.

Mojave Foods Corporation is initiating a voluntary Recall of El Guapo Chile Habanero and Chile Pasilla-Ancho packages due to an unlabeled peanut allergen.
This recall does not impact any other El Guapo products.
To date, Mojave Foods has not received notice of any allergic reactions related to the product covered by this recall.  In sensitive individuals, products containing peanuts can cause illness or severe reactions.

Romaine Lettuce Advisory

Reason: E. Coli outbreak

The CDC, FDA and Canadian Public Health Agency issued a Public Health Notice this afternoon, November 20, 2018, advising consumers not to eat Romaine Lettuce and advising restaurants and retailers not to sell Romaine Lettuce. Investigation into this outbreak is on-going and will be monitored closely.

The CDC is advising that U.S. consumers not eat any Romaine Lettuce, and retailers and restaurants not serve or sell any, until we learn more about the outbreak. This investigation is on-going, and the advice will be updated as more information becomes available.
Consumers who have any type of Romaine Lettuce in their home should not eat it and should throw it away, even if some of it was eaten and no one has gotten sick.
o This advice includes all types or uses of Romaine Lettuce, such as whole heads of Romaine, hearts of Romaine, and bags and boxes of precut lettuce and salad mixes that contain Romaine, including baby Romaine, spring mix, and Caesar salad.
o If you do not know if the lettuce is Romaine or whether a salad mix contains Romaine, do not eat it and throw it away.
o Wash and sanitize drawers or shelves in refrigerators where Romaine was stored.

Jennie-O Ground Turkey Recall

 

November 16, 2018

WASHINGTON, Nov. 15, 2018 – Jennie-O Turkey Store Sales, LLC, a Barron, Wis. establishment, is recalling approximately 91,388 pounds of raw ground turkey products that may be associated with an illness outbreak of Salmonella Reading, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The raw ground turkey products items were produced on September 11, 2018. The following products are subject to recall:
• 1-lb. packages of ‘Jennie-O GROUND TURKEY 93% LEAN | 7% FAT’ with ‘Use by’ dates of 10/02/2018.
• 1-lb. packages of ‘Jennie-O TACO SEASONED GROUND TURKEY’ with a ‘Use by’ date of 10/02/2018.
• 1-lb. packages of ‘Jennie-O GROUND TURKEY 85% LEAN | 15% FAT’ with a ‘Use by’ date of 10/02/2018.
• 1-lb. packages of ‘Jennie-O ITALIAN SEASONED GROUND TURKEY’ with a ‘Use by’ date of 10/02/2018.
The products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-190” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.
FSIS, and its public health partners, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Arizona Department of Health Services, have been conducting traceback activities for a sample of Jennie-O brand ground turkey in an intact, unopened package from a case-patient’s home. The patient tested positive for Salmonella Reading and the sample from the ground turkey matches the outbreak strain. FSIS, the CDC, and state public health and agriculture partners, have been working together on an illness cluster involving 164 case-patients in 35 states. Based on the continuing investigation, additional product from other companies may also be recalled.

 

Consumer Information

FSIS is concerned that some product may be frozen and in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

FSIS advises all consumers to safely prepare their raw meat products, including fresh and frozen, and only consume raw poultry product that has been cooked to a temperature of 165°F. Safe steps in food handling, cooking, and storage are essential in preventing foodborne illness. You can’t see, smell, or taste harmful bacteria that may cause illness. In every step of food preparation, follow the four guidelines to
keep food safe:
• Clean—Wash hands and surfaces often.
• Separate—Separate raw meat from other foods.
• Cook—Cook to the right temperature.
• Chill—Refrigerate food promptly.
