DIY Kitchen Towel Face Mask

With the most recent announcement from the US Center of Disease Control, it’s a great time to get a little crafty and make your own cotton face mask. You can make these simple face masks out of cotton items you have at home. Our favorite cotton item to use is a cotton kitchen towel that has been washed. For the ear loops, you can use elastic if you have it on hand, but if you don’t, washed shoe laces work just as well. Follow the instructions below to craft you own custom face mask.


No-Sew face mask essentials

  • Clean cotton kitchen towel
  • Rubber bands or hair elastics

Instructions:

Lay your towel out lengthwise on a flat surface. Fold both ends in the middle, and then fold both ends into the middle once more. Slip the rubber bands or hair elastics along both non folded edges about 1.5 inch. Fold the remaining fabric over the elastic to hold it in place.

To put the mask on your face, simply loop the rubber band or elastics over your ears and make sure the towel covers both your nose and mouth.


Items you will need:

  • Needle and thread (you can use a sewing machine if you have one)
  • Fabric shears or scissors
  • Fabric pins or paper clips to hold the fabric
  • Clean cotton kitchen towel
  • Shoelaces, elastic or extra fabric strips

3 cups packed spinach

Avocado Brownies

Sneak a little bit of healthy into a delicious chocolate treat! These avocado brownies are sure to be a hit dessert at any house.

Ingredients:

1 large avocado- peeled, pitted, and sliced

2 Food Club eggs

1/3 cup Food Club light brown sugar

1/4 cup maple syrup

3 tbs Food Club butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup almond flour

1 tsp. baking soda

salt to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease an 8×8 pan.

In a food processor, blend avocado, eggs, sugar, maple syrup, butter and vanilla until completely smooth. Scrape down the sides and add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Again, blend until completely smooth.

Transfer mixture into greased pan and bake for 30 minutes. Enjoy by themselves or with ice cream.

The new digital coupons experience on our website is easier than ever to use and is tied directly to your account. Coupons are now organized by category. When we have special events at the store, we’ll create a separate category for those coupons, making it simple to find the coupons that matter most to you. To use our digital coupons, simply visit the Digital Coupons section of our website, select the coupons you want, save them and then go shopping. Every coupon you add to your account is automatically applied when you check out so you don’t’ have to remember to clip them and bring them with you.

Q: If I already had a rewards account will my points and wallet credits show up when I register my account?

A: Yes, When you register your account use the same phone number you have always provided and your points and wallet credits will still show up in your account.

Q: What if I can’t remember my user name?

A: If you have registered on our website your new user name is your email address. You can visit our customer service booth to ask them to pull up our account.

Q: How do I reset my password?

A: Click on the login option in the top right hand corner of the webiste. Choose reset password and follow the setup to changing your password.

Q: How do I use your online coupons?

A: Create an account on our webiste by clicking on the register option. Once you have created an account you can click on the online coupon option and add hundreds of digital coupons to your account. Then purchase the items and use your phone number at the register to redeem the offers. No need to print coupons anymore!

Q: What is the your rewards program?

A: Our rewards program is a special way for us to give back and say thank you to our guests. There is no card to get the sales price and you never have to clip paper coupons again. You get exclusive discounts, thank you gifts, surprise discounts at the register and rewards points.

Q: Can I have more than one phone number on my rewards account?

A: Yes, you have two options. Add a second phone number to your account either when you register or you can edit your account. The other option is to add a second person on your account that will be able to help you towards earning points and redeeming online coupons.

Q: I tried to reigster but it tells me my email address is already in use.

A: Try resetting the your password using the email already in use. Then when you are in the account you can view the phone number on your account. If that phone number needs to changed update your account.

Spinach & Artichoke Dip

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups Italian cheese blend, shredded (mozzarella/parmesan)
  • 14 oz. can artichoke
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper

Recipe

  1. In a medium saucepan, mix together cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella and parmesan until they are all melted together.
  2. Remove spinach from package and drain by applying pressure.
  3. Next, drain artichokes and chop to the size of your liking.
  4. Add the spinach and artichoke to your cheese mixture and cook for several minutes until everything is combined and heated through. Add in minced garlic, and combine once more.
  5. Remove from heat and serve with your choice of bread, crackers, etc.

Culinary Tours® Szechuan Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. peanut oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts or chicken thigh cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 bell peppers, diced
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1/3 cups Culinary Tours Szechuan Style Peanut Sauce
  • 1/3 cups roasted peanuts

Recipe

  1. In a large nonstick skillet heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium high until hot.
  2. Add chicken and season well with salt and pepper. Cook turning a few times until the chicken is cooked through, about 6 minutes.
  3. Transfer to a plate and heat with other tablespoon of oil in the same skillet. Add onion and cook for 2 minutes then add bell pepper allow to cook another 2 minutes or so. Add chicken back into the pan.
  4. Stir all ingredients together. Pour in Szechuan sauce to coat the chicken and vegetables. Cook until mixture is hot and well coated.
  5. Sprinkle peanuts over top and serve.

Culinary Tours® Kung Pao Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. peanut oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 lb. shrimp
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 6 green onions (chopped)
  • 1/3 cups roasted cashews (or peanuts)
  • 1/3 cups Culinary Tours Kung Pao Sauce

Recipe

  1. In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high until hot.
  2. Add shrimp to skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Allow to cook an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Add bell pepper and 3/4 of the green onions and stir fry with shrimp until peppers are slightly tender. Add the cashews and Kung Pao Sauce.
  4. Stir until ingredients are evenly coated.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 of green onions. Serve with steamed rice if desired.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Food Club® Cream of Mushroom
  • 1 can Food Club® Cream of Chicken
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 box chicken stuffing
  • 2 cups broccoli
  • 1 Food Club® canned chicken breast
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c cheddar cheese shredded

Recipe

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Use a 9×13 glass or oven safe pan. Start by lining the bottom of your pan with broccoli, then do a second layer with the chicken.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together remaining ingredients (besides the cheese, butter and stuffing). Pour mixture over broccoli and chicken, then sprinkle the top with a layer of cheese.
  4. Melt butter and mix with boxed stuffing. Add this over your layer of cheese.
  5. Let cool before serving, then enjoy fresh or save for leftovers!
