Holiday Sugar Cookies

Snowman, Christmas tree, and Snowglobe frosted sugar cookies

The Holidays are here which means it’s time to bust out your festive cookie cutters! Spend quality time with your family and friends creating delicious and edible works of art with classic sugar cookie dough and buttercream frosting.

Ingredients

  • 1 package sugar cookie dough
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tbs. milk
  • Food coloring

Instructions

  1. While the sugar cookie dough is still chilled, roll it out on a floured surface to 1/4 of an inch thickness and cut with into your favorite festive shapes. Bake according to the package instructions.
  2. While the cookies are baking, cream softened butter with a stand mixer or with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. Slowly ad the powdered sugar. Once the powdered sugar has been fully incorporated, add the vanilla and milk and whip until fluffy. Section the completed frosting into additional bowls and color as wanted.
  3. Once the cookies are cool, load up piping bags or plastic bags and start decorating! Happy Holidays!

Don’t fear, we’ve got your Thanksgiving leftover solution right here! Use up all of your favorite Thanksgiving leftovers in one perfect pie. If you don’t have leftovers, but you still want to enjoy this pie, pick up Food Club® stuffing and cranberry sauce.

Ingredients:

Leftover stuffing

Leftover turkey

Leftover cranberry sauce

Leftover mashed potatoes

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a pie tin.

Layer Stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce evenly in the pie tin.

Top with mashed potatoes (we prefer piping the potatoes in a swirl pattern).

Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and warmed through.

Turkey, Cranberry and Brie Grilled Cheese

Don’t settle for an average grilled cheese. Add brie to your favorite Thanksgiving leftovers for a gooey and delicious grilled cheese.

Ingredients:

Leftover turkey

Leftover cranberry sauce

Brie

Preferred bread

Butter

Instructions:

Heat a medium pan over medium heat with 1 tbs. butter in the bottom.

Lay one piece of bread flat in the pan and top with brie, turkey and cranberry sauce to your liking. Top with a second piece of bread.

Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and slightly melty. Flip and cook for 3-5 minutes more.

Thanksgiving Leftover Quesadilla

Mix two of your favorite things, quesadillas and Thanksgiving leftovers, for an delicious meal.

Ingredients:

Leftover stuffing

Leftover turkey

Leftover cranberry sauce

10 flour tortillas

2 1/2 cups Food Club® shredded cheese

Instructions:

Over medium high heat, lay a tortilla flat in a large pan. Top with cheese, stuffing, turkey and cranberry sauce. Cover with as second tortilla.

Cook for 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for 2 more minutes.

Cut into triangles and enjoy.

P.S. we like to add extra cranberry sauce for dipping.

Mini Pumpkin Pot Pies

These Mini Pumpkin Pot Pies are the perfect individual side for your Thanksgiving festivities!

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 40 minutes
Total time: 50 minutes

Serves 8

Ingredients
  • Food Club Non-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 4 cups Food Club Shredded Hash Browns, thawed
  • 1 cup Food Club Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 3 tablespoons Food Club Sweet Cream Butter, Unsalted
  • 3 tablespoons Food Club All-Purpose Flour
  • 3 cups Food Club Whole Milk
  • 1 (15-ounce) can Food Club 100% Pure Pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (24-ounce) bag Food Club Frozen Mixed Vegetables
  • ● 1 (32-ounce) bag Food Club Frozen Tater Tots
Method

1.Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat 8 ramekins with cooking spray. In a large bowl mix together hash browns, cheddar cheese and beaten egg until thoroughly combined. Press 1/2 cup of hash brown mixture into each ramekin to create a crust. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until light golden brown.

2. While crusts bake melt butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Whisk in flour and cook,
stirring frequently, for 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a boil then
reduce heat to low. Stir in pumpkin puree, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper until
combined. Add mixed vegetables and simmer for 2 minutes.
3. Divide mixture evenly between ramekins and top with frozen tater tots.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until bubbling and golden-brown on top.

Bringing Baking Back Food Club Turkey Pot Pies

Individualize this classic meal with these single-serve Turkey Pot Pies. This also makes a great way to use left over Thanksgiving turkey!  

Ingredients

Food Club® Pie crust 

2 cups turkey, pulled  

1 can Food Club® mixed vegetables, drained 

1 can Food Club® cream of chicken soup 

Food Club® Salt and pepper to taste 

Directions

Heat oven to 400 degrees and grease ramekins.

Unroll pie crust and cut into a circle the size of your ramekins. 

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. 

Divide mixture into ramekins and top with puff pastry circles. 

Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. 

Bite sized pumpkin pie.

Ingredients

Food Club® pie crusts (2)  

Food Club® 8 oz. brick softened cream cheese  

Food Club® 1 can pumpkin puree  

Food Club® sugar, 1 Cup  

Food Club® vanilla, 1 tsp  

Food Club® Pumpkin Pie spice, 1 tsp  

Food Club® whipped cream

Directions  

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spray mini cupcake pan.

Roll pie crust cut and place in the center of the cupcake pan. Mold dough to fit cupcake tin.  

Mix cream cheese and sugar. Then add pumpkin, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice.  

Place a dollop of mixture into the mini crusts.  

Bake until the edges are golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.  

Allow to cool. Top with whipped cream and serve.

Food Club® Mashed Potatoes

The perfect mashed potatoes are key to a successful Thanksgiving. Give these perfectly creamy and buttery mashers a spin this year.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. golden potatoes
  • 4 cups Food Club® chicken stock
  • 1 stick Food Club® butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Food Club® whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup Food Club® sour cream

Instructions

  1. Peel and cube potatoes and add them into a large stock pot. Pour chicken stock over the top of potatoes and bring to a boil. Boil for 12-15 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  2. Drain and put potatoes in a large bowl. Using a hand or stand mixer, mix the potatoes until slightly lumpy. Slowly add the butter and whipping cream and mix until mixture is smooth.
  3. Add sour cream and mix on high until fluffy and smooth.

Beef Stew

Don’t let the cold weather get you down. Warm up with this incredibly cozy and hearty beef stew! In our opinion, this pairs perfectly with fresh french bread from the bakery!

Ingredients:

2-4 tbs. oil

3 lb. chuck roast, cubed

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. pepper

1 onion, chopped

4 carrots, cut into thick slices

4 yukon potatoes, chopped

4 cups beef broth

1/4 cup tomato paste

1 bay leaf

1 tsp. thyme

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbs. butter

2 tbs. flour

Instructions:

Heat a large pot over medium high and add oil. Add cubed beef and brown on all sides. Once browned, remove from pot.

Melt butter in pot and add onion, carrots, and potatoes into the same pot. Let soften for 10-15 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Once softened, season with salt and pepper. Add flour and tomato paste and stir for 5 minutes to cook out the flour taste and brown the tomato paste. Add beef broth slowly.

Once all of the beef broth is added, add bay leaf and thyme and simmer for 2-2 1/2 hours. Serve and enjoy!

Food Club® Apple Crisp

We love this recipe to the core! Enjoy this crunchy and sweet apple crisp all Fall long.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 apple peeled and chopped (golden delicious is recommended)
  • 2 tbs. Food Club® sugar
  • 1 3/4 tbs. ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 cup Food Club® brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup Food Club® old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup cold Food Club® butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Mix apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Pour mixture into a greased 8×8 inch dish.
  3. In a large bowl, mix brown sugar, oats and butter. Use your hands or a pastry cutter until mixture is the texture of corn meal and the butter is dispersed throughout. Place on top of apple mixture.
  4. Bake for 30-40 minutes until apples are softened and topping is browned. Serve with ice cream and a caramel drizzle.
