Cheese dip with chips

More cheese please! We have the perfect queso dip for you! It’s easy to make and can be used in so many ways! We love to dip chips, soft pretzels and bread in our queso. It also tastes great served with tacos or grilled chicken.


2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons flour

1 cup whole milk

1 cup diced tomatoes

1 cup fire roasted whole green chilies, chopped

3 cups grated cheddar cheese

3 cups Monterey Jack cheese

1 15 oz can of refried beans (optional)


In a cast iron skillet heat the butter on medium heat until melted. Add flour and whisk together.

Add milk and whisk together for about 3-4 minutes. Add tomatoes, chiles, both cheeses and refried beans, if using, until combined.

Enjoy warm!

Stokes Marketplace was named the Business of the Year at the final annual meeting of the Greater Preston Business Association!

Over the years, since the store opened in 1990, the company has had to remodel several times as it has grown and expanded services.

Beginning as solely a grocery store, the place now encompasses a bakery, a pharmacy, a bank, a hardware store and outdoor sporting goods store. The store has about doubled in physical size.

Macaroni and Cheese with Ham Cheddar and Chives

More ham and cheese, please! Cure your hunger with this ham and cheddar Mac n’ Cheese recipe. Your taste buds will be thanking you!


½ lb. dried elbow pasta

1 package diced ham

¼ cup unsalted butter

¼ cup all-purpose flour

¾ cup whole milk

1 ¼ cups half and half

4 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese

¼ tbsp salt

¼ tbsp black pepper

Dash of paprika

Chives for garnishing


Start by preheating your oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9×13 baking dish (or your choice of an oven safe dish) and set aside.

Heat a large pot of salted water until you reach a boil. Once boiling, add pasta. Cook 1-2 minutes less than the package directs to keep it al dente. Once cooked, drain and drizzle with oil to prevent noodles from sticking together.

While your pasta is cooking, start your cheese sauce mixture. Melt the butter over medium heat in a large saucepan. Add flour and whisk until combined. Cook for about 1 minute, continually whisking.

Slowly add in about half of your milk and heavy cream mixture. Continue to whisk until smooth. Add the remainder of milk and half and half, whisking until smooth.

Continue cooking over medium heat. Keep whisking frequently and watch as mixture begins to thicken. Once it has reached a very thick consistency, it’s ready for the cheese.

Add in salt, pepper, and paprika with about 1 ½ cups your grated cheese. Stir until combined, then add in another 1 ½ cups of cheese. Stir until completely melted and smooth.

Take your mixture and cooked pasta noodles and combine in a large mixing bowl. Add in diced ham, and mix all together.

Add half of your pasta mixture into your prepared oven dish and layer with more grated cheese. Pour over the rest of your pasta mixture, and finish it off with the remainder of your grated cheese.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, until cheese is bubbling and starts to turn a light golden brown. Carefully remove once cooked and set aside.

Chop up chives or fresh parsley for garnishing, and enjoy your fresh baked homemade ham and cheddar Mac n’ Cheese!

Deep fried jalapeno poppers

No big game watching party is complete without the iconic jalapeno popper! Create these bite-sized snacks with a punch in a pinch with this easy recipe.


15-20 jalapenos, de-seeded

8 oz. cream cheese

1 cup milk

1 cup flour

1 cup bread crumbs



Heat oil in a large crock or deep-fryer to 375 degrees.

Take each jalapeno and fill with cream cheese. Once all are filled, put milk, flour, and bread crumbs in individual bowls. One at a time, dip a stuffed jalapeno in the milk, flour, milk and bread crumbs and place in hot oil for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

Serve with ranch or an aioli of your choice and enjoy!

Use any of our French Bread for a quick and delicious pizza dinner.


1 loaf French Bread

1/2 cup pizza sauce

4 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese

Your favorite pizza toppings



Lengthwise cut a loaf of French Bread and put on a baking sheet with the cut side up. Then spread pizza sauce over the bread, about 1/4 cup on each piece. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and then add your favorite toppings. Bake on the middle rack at 400 degrees for 10 minute or until cheese is melted. Cut loaf into 8-10 pieces and serve.

To assemble your very own and custom Snackadium, you will need:

Field: 1 9×13 inch aluminum pan

End Zone: 4 8.5×4.5 inch aluminum pans

Portals and Stadium Seating: 22 cardboard magazine holders

Fans: 18 snacks  and 2 sandwich trays

Field Grass: 5 dips

Team Colors: 18 deli liners

After acquiring all of the necessary components, begin lining your portals and stadium seating with deli liners to welcome your favorite team into their Snackadium. After all portals have been lined, fill each seat with fans and organize by following the Snackadium Blueprint.

Once your Snackadium is complete, be sure to invite fellow fans over and snack the game day away to cheer your favorite team on.
